Mt. Hope High School students will miss at least a day of school while crews work to repair a water leak at the school that left the main hallway and many offices and classrooms flooded Monday.

School administrators made the decision to close the school after being alerted via an alarm at 2 a.m. Monday that a sprinkler near the main entrance had burst. Crews from Providence Fire Restoration were cleaning up water, dirt and rust from burst pipes Monday morning, though an official in the school administration’s office said school is expected to be back open Tuesday.
