Warren police logs: Man arrested on domestic assault warrant

Monday,  Dec. 4

A Baker Street resident called the animal control officer after finding what appeared to be animal fur in the front yard. It turned out to be plant-based.

A Wood Street woman reported receiving harassing messages.

A Harris Avenue man spotted a coyote in his back yard. It ended up running into the woods.

Paul S. Blair Jr., 27, of 5 Brittney Lane, was picked up on a warrant for domestic simple assault/battery and domestic disorderly conduct.

A Wilbur Avenue woman reported having an argument with her young daughter.

A Child Street man called police after kids disturbed Christmas lights in his yard. 

A Croade Street woman reported receiving harassing texts from her ex.

Tuesday, Dec. 5

Police looked into work being done at Schoolhouse Road by National Grid, which apparently did not have a detail officer on duty. Police reported that the work crew would be cleared out of the area.

A Long Lane man called police just after 9 p.m. with concerns that a neighbor threw a piece of raw meat onto his property. Police checked it out and found there to be no issue; an office said the caller was not completely sure how the meat ended up in his yard.

Wednesday, Dec. 6

A woman reported that her estranged husband threatened her at work.

A Coomer Avenue woman reported the theft of her engagement ring.

Two juveniles who  ran away from home on Harris Avenue returned on their own at about 7 p.m.., two and a half hours after being reported missing.

Thursday, Dec. 7

A Wheaton Street woman told police a package which she’d noticed on her steps disappeared.

Friday, Dec. 8

Police dispersed a man who was panhandling on Market Street.

A Haile Street man reported damage to his car, possibly from a crowbar.

A man and woman were reported arguing on Market Street at 6:13 p.m. As a result, rescue crews transported the man to Rhode Island Hospital for detox.

Michael A. Pacheco, 30, of East Providence, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, after police got multiple calls about a disturbance involving a drunken man on Arlington Avenue.

Saturday, Dec. 9

A caller from Davis Street complained that a woman threw a knife at her.

A plow truck driver called in, upset that there were too many cars parked on Wood Street for him to maneuver his truck down the road.

Sunday, Dec. 10
