EAST PROVIDENCE — A city man was rushed to hospital late Saturday evening, Dec. 10, after he was involved in a stabbing incident on Warren Avenue.
East Providence Police Chief Chris Parella said the crime took place in the vicinity of Warren and Lyon Avenues around 11:45 p.m.
The victim, believed to be in his early to mid-20s, suffered significant wounds, according to the chief, who called the situation "rapidly evolving."
Chief Parella said the investigation is on-going, declining to confirm the number of suspects involved, the motive or the status of the victim. He said more details on the situation would be forthcoming.
