With raging winds and whiteout conditions, Bristol was mostly paralyzed by Winter Storm Grayson Thursday morning. Drivers who took to the roads had to contend with many unplowed areas, including Route 114, and a steady and strong wind brought limbs and branches down throughout the downtown area.

However, three things were running as normal: The United States Postal Service, Bristol Fire Department and Stop and Shop on Metacom Avenue, which though open had many bare shelves.
