Barrington's Jennifer Boylan, Jennifer Schultz and her two sons, Cynthia Rosengard, Pam Lauria, Sarah O'Brien, Debra Kelty, Donna Personeus, and Caroline Morgan attended an event at the Rhode Island Statehouse on Oct. 30, where Governor Gina Raimondo signed into law the Protect Rhode Island Families Act.

The legislation will keep guns out of the hands of domestic abusers.

"At last, victims of domestic abuse in Rhode Island will not have the constant fear of knowing that the person who abused them still has a gun," said Rep. Teresa Tanzi (Democrat, District 34, South Kingstown, Narragansett), who sponsored the house bill.

More than 100 people attended the event, including many from Barrington who volunteer for Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense In America.
