Warren police logs: Cow stuck in a fence

Monday, Jan. 23
Karl A. Williamson, 37, of 23 Davis St., was charged with domestic vandalism and domestic disorderly conduct, after police were called to Coomer Avenue for a report of a verbal dispute and window damage.
A Main Street woman reported being harassed, but would not provide further information.
Tuesday, Jan. 24
A noisy car alarm drew police to the area of Wood and Federal streets at 12:25 a.m. Police spoke to the owner, who turned off the alarm.
George M. Dias, 44, of Fall River, was charged with driving under the influence, second offense (BAC .15 or greater) after he struck another car in an ATM on Market Street just after noon.
Police helped a woman track down a lost cell phone. A woman came in to headquarters to report losing the phone, and noted that her GPS data showed that the phone might be on Warren Avenue. Police located the phone at a Warren Avenue address, and the woman holding it told police she’d found it in the parking lot of Shaw’s in Barrington. She told police she was holding it in an attempt to contact the owner.
A caller reported being tailgated by a truck on Market Street.
Police got a call about a man who may have been drunk and was soliciting door to door.
Wednesday, Jan. 25
The animal control officer received a complaint of a barking dog on Cutler Street.
Thursday, Jan. 26
Daniel M. Machado
, 30, of Fall River, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, second offense, and obstruction of an officer, after police pulled him over on Child Street just before 6 a.m.
A man on Main Street told police he let an acquaintance borrow his cell phone, but it was never returned.
Loose horses were spotted off the side of Market Street. They were corralled soon after.
The animal control officer received a complaint about a cow tangled in wire on the side of Kickemuit Road.
Friday, Jan. 27
Loose chickens and ducks were out on Metacom Avenue just before 10:30 a.m.
School officials notified police and the parents of an unruly student at the Hugh Cole School.
Omar Calderon, 26, of Woonsocket, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, third or subsequent offense, and failing to stop at an accident. He was picked up by the Rhode Island State Police on a Warren warrant.
A rabid raccoon was reported on Touisset Road.
Saturday, Jan. 28
A Homestead Avneue woman reported telephone harassment.
Arlin W. Nebiker, 32, of East Providence, was charged with driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, third or subsequent offense.
A Bagy Wrinkle Cove resident reported losing a diamond ring.
Sunday, Jan. 29
An anonymous caller told police that a man left young children in his car while he shopped at a Metacom Avenue store.
